Sarah Meale is the principal physiotherapist and owner of Multisport Physiotherapy and has 20 years experience and a Post Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Sarah had a broad background in all areas of physiotherapy in hospital and rehabilitation settings in New Zealand and internationally. Sarah is a member of Physiotherapy New Zealand, Sport and Exercise New Zealand and Physio Scholar.
Sarah Meale | Director & Physiotherapist
Before opening the clinic in the gym at the Squash Club, she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team at Unisport Physiotherapy. This role was part of a multidisciplinary team working closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports Physicians Podiatrist and Hand Specialists, at the clinic now known as Axis Sports Medicine. In this role Sarah was involved with High Performance NZ athletes and was physiotherapist to the University Premier Rugby team in 2004. In 2005 when moving to Bayswater she was employed as the sole medical person to the NZ Fed Cup Tennis team in New Delhi India and then as a senior physiotherapy consultant to Shore Physiotherapy in Takapuna before starting her family and her clinic in the Devonport Squash Club.
Sarah’s interests include family and most outdoor activities. At present this includes mountain biking, tramping, snowboarding, and water sports.
Anya Williams | Physiotherapist
We’re thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Anya Williams! Anya, a proud Devonport local, has joined our clinic in Narrow Neck as a physiotherapist and will be an invaluable asset to our team. Her passion and commitment to physiotherapy and ongoing learning is truly inspiring.
Nina Edgar | Sports Massage Therapist & Office Administrator
Nina is a TGS graduate that proudly represented our local school as a prefect in year 13 and a new member of our team. She was awarded both junior and senior sports woman of the year during her time at TGS through Karate. Nina has represented New Zealand and is a medalist in both national and levels.
Nina is currently studying health science (Midwifery) at AUT. She enjoys working with people in our community who are looking to improve themselves. “It excites me everyday knowing they are seeking a positive change”, says Nina.
“I feel inspired to work with Sarah and those who are putting in the hard work to be the better versions of themselves regardless of their background”.
Nina has been working with and learning Sports Massage techniques under Sarah’s supervision and we are delighed to advise that Nina is now available for Sports Massage Therapy appointments.
Janet Klee | Personal Trainer
Janet is a REPS registered and NZIHF personal trainer both at Les Mills and at the Devonport Squash club and for her private clients Janet works to support Sarah in a physiotherapy assistant capacity in the supervision of gym rehabilitation programmes as well as continuing her personal training and lifestyle management work. Janet has been instrumental in setting up and running the over 65year old balance and strengthening class that is held twice a week at the Devonport Squash Club. Janet enjoys creating a solid lifestyle, health and fitness balance. She specialises in health, and lifestyle balance, exercise prescription and personal training for toning, strength, core-conditioning, rehabilitation as well as nutritional guidance. Janet is testament to her belief that It’s health that is the real wealth.
