We are a local owner operated business that has been delivering physiotherapy services from the Devonport Squash Club for the past 7 years and operating since 2005 on the North Shore. During the C-19 lockdown period, we are offering online consultations.
Sarah Meale is the principal physiotherapist and owner of Multisport Physiotherapy and has 20 years experience and a Post Graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Sarah had a broad background in all areas of physiotherapy in hospital and rehabilitation settings in New Zealand and internationally. Sarah is a member of Physiotherapy New Zealand, Sport and Exercise New Zealand and Physio Scholar.
Sarah Meale | Director & Physiotherapist
Before opening the clinic in the gym at the Squash Club, she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team at Unisport Physiotherapy. This role was part of a multidisciplinary team working closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports Physicians Podiatrist and Hand Specialists, at the clinic now known as Axis Sports Medicine. In this role Sarah was involved with High Performance NZ athletes and was physiotherapist to the University Premier Rugby team in 2004. In 2005 when moving to Bayswater she was employed as the sole medical person to the NZ Fed Cup Tennis team in New Delhi India and then as a senior physiotherapy consultant to Shore Physiotherapy in Takapuna before starting her family and her clinic in the Devonport Squash Club.
Sarah’s interests include family and most outdoor activities. At present this includes mountain biking, tramping, snowboarding, and water sports.
Claudia Grieve | Physiotherapist
Claudia enjoys utilizing her pilates training alongside exercise based therapy and manual therapy to assist injury recovery and prevention across all ages. Her sporting interests are in horse riding, skiing, tramping and surfing. She enjoys staying fit and active and helping others do the same.
In 2017, Claudia graduated from AUT University with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy. She then went on to work as a rotational physiotherapist at Hawkes Bay Hospital. There she worked across multiple inpatient wards including medical, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric and rehabilitation. Claudia then went travelling overseas for several months, and worked as a physiotherapist in Byron Bay, Australia for 3 months.
Deanna Moran | Office Manager
Deanna Moran is Multisport Physio’s part-time Office Manager. She has a strong background in business banking and prior to this was involved in recruitment.
“I thoroughly enjoy working with Sarah and Claudia and being involved in a great local business. I feel fortunate to work locally and really enjoy dealing with our patients during their road to recovery.
Outside of work I keep busy with family, kids sport, hiking and anything that keeps me outdoors”.
